Product description : bismarck model set1/1200
The Bismarck, flagship of the German Navy, was the largest German warship along with the Tirpitz. She had a displacement of 50,900 t and a crew of 2,092.Commissioned on 08.24.1940, it set sail on 05.18.1941 for Operation "Rhine".
With the Prinz Eugen, however, it was discovered early by British aerial reconnaissance. During the encounter with the Hood, the latter was sunk by the Bismarck on 24.05.1941.
After a long pursuit, she received a torpedo hit from an aircraft on 26.05.1941 and was placed by the British battleships King George V and H.M.S. Rodney. On 27.05. his own crew sank the Bismarck 490 km off the French coast.
