Product description : Perry Miniatures - US Infantry 1942-45
This box contains enough plastic figures to represent a complete platoon and HQ.In 1942 a company consisted of three platoons, each consisting of three sections of 12 men, at full strength, plus a five-man HQ.
There was also a weapons platoon comprising two 30mm Browning machine guns (included) and three 60mm mortars (not included but available in our metal figure range).
Each section consisted of a corporal and five riflemen armed with Garands (although initially there was a rifleman equipped with a Springfield rifle and grenade launcher), two scouts armed with Garands, two assistants armed with Garands for the BAR and the BAR gunner, plus a sergeant often armed with a Garand but occasionally equipped with a carbine or Thompson SMG.
