Lucky Luke is a Franco-Belgian comic strip series created in 1946 by Morris, whose real name was Maurice De Bevere. The series follows the adventures of a lone cowboy named Lucky Luke, who is known as the fastest gun in the West. He travels the vast expanses of the Wild West accompanied by his trusty horse Jolly Jumper.

Lucky Luke is a character famous for his sense of justice, humor, intelligence and rapid marksmanship. He is often called upon to solve problems and conflicts in the towns he visits, and is known for his ability to find peaceful solutions to conflicts rather than resorting to violence. His friend the dog Rantanplan and his recurring enemies, such as the Dalton brothers, have greatly contributed to the success of this uvre.
