Product description : M8 Howitzer Motor Carriage
Based on the chassis of the M5 light tank, the American M8 self-propelled howitzer had an open turret housing a 75mm M3 artillery piece. From September 1942 to early 1944, around 1,800 units were produced. M8s fought in Italy, Western Europe and the Pacific, and supported American infantry until the end of WW2Although Tamiya has already reproduced the M8 at 1/35 (35110 and 35312 ), this kit features a completely new design entirely based on intensive research on the real vehicle.

• Compact shape with high profile of the machine perfectly restored.
• Die-cast metal frame giving weight to the model.
• Realistic rendering of the internal details of the turret including the cylinder head of the howitzer as well as the characteristic shield of the tube.
• Supension bogies reproduced in a succinct way without sacrificing realism to facilitate construction.
• Tracks made up of sections and independent shoes in injected plastic.
• Two marking options: 106th Cavalry Reconnaissance Group in Germany or 758th Tank Battalion in Italy.
• Captain figurine alongside the machine included.
