Model kit Sd.Kfz.164 Nashorn
The 100th model of the Tamiya 1/48 Military Miniatures series is the German tank destroyer Nashorn.
The German army had developed self-propelled anti-tank guns to counter Russian T-34 and KV tanks.
The Nashorn was one of the most powerful.
Its production began in February 1943.
It was equipped with an L / 71 8.8cm Pak43 / 1 cannon capable of passing through thick armor at great distances.
On the Italian front, a Nashorn knocked out an M4 Sherman 2.8 kilometers away.
• 1/48 scale assembly kit.
Length: 176mm, width: 62mm.
• Meticulous research and the study of real vehicles have allowed this extremely precise reproduction of the Nashorn and its L / 71 8.8cm Pak43 / 1 gun.
• Tracks in injected plastic (independent sections and pads) with realistic reproduction of the sag of the upper section.
• Orientable barrel as in real life.
• Detailed combat compartment.
• Weights in metal giving weight to the model.
• A figurine (officer in winter clothes looking through binoculars) and two possibilities of markings (Eastern Front 1944).
Scale : 1:48
The 1:48 scale is the queen size scale for model planes.
Military models are also available in this scale.
A model that is 1:48 scale is 48 times smaller than the real object.
For example, a model airplane in the 1:48 scale measures 13 inches / 31.25 cm long if the real object is 15 m (1500 cm).

You can also paint the model with a brush (acrylic or enamel paint).
The model consists of different parts to cut and assemble.
Construction time will vary depending on the number of parts.
