Product description : MIRAGE IIIBE / D / DE / DS / D2Z 1/48
Aircraft model MIRAGE IIIBE / D / DE / DS / D2Z 1/48
The Mirage III is a multi-role aircraft designed by the French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation at the end of the 1950s.
It is the first European-designed combat aircraft capable of exceeding a Mach 2 speed in horizontal flight.
The Mirage III has given rise to numerous variants and has met with considerable success in the export market with 21 user countries and 1,401 built models (if we take into account the versions designated Mirage 5).
Switzerland, Australia and Belgium built it under license.
Israel has locally made aircraft based on the Mirage III (Nesher and Kfir).
While the first Mirage was delivered in the early 1960s, many copies were still in service around the world in the early twenty-first century, 40 years later.
They have generally been largely modernized.
Mirage III B (two-seater training, first flight October 20, 1959)
The fuselage is extended by 58 cm to install a second seat, and it carries neither guns nor radar.
After the appearance of the Mirage IIIE, this version will be replaced by the Mirage IIIBE equipped with navigation radar but still without radar shooting, recognizable by its slender nose.
Compared to the MIRAGE III of the same brand, this model is equipped with a new fuselage and a new glass roof.
The proposed decorations concern France, Australia, Spain, Switzerland, South Africa.
5 variants are offered with this box:
Mirage IIIBE: Two-seat training aircraft based Mirage IIIE for the French Air Force, similar to the Mirage IIID.

Good value for money. A little more detail is missing, but it is a model of which there is not a great variety of brands. I wish it had been on a larger scale. In summary. Quite satisfied *
