The Foch served in the French Navy for over three decades, participating in various military and humanitarian operations. Its innovative design and advanced capabilities made it a major asset to national defense, until its decommissioning in 2000. The Foch was then transferred to the Brazilian Navy where it served as the São Paulo until 2018.
