The JSF Joint Strike Fighter program was set up to develop a new fifth generation all-weather multi-role fighter capable of being a viable replacement for the current ground attack aircraft of the United States and NATO countries.

From this project was born the single-seat Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II.

Equipped with an extraordinary technology, it is characterized by the adoption of an aerodynamic lay out, with stealth characteristics, trapezoidal wing.

Designed to perform air superiority, close air support and ground attack missions, its airframe can be declined in different configurations.

The F-35A operates from conventional runways, the F-35B is designed for vertical landing and takeoff, and the F-35C is ideal for use from catapult-equipped aircraft carriers.

The extreme operational flexibility, the offensive payload it can carry, the on-board technology and the strong innovation of the design, will make the F-35 Lightning II a sure protagonist of the 21st century air force.

The 1:32 scale is mainly used for model airplanes. A plane on the 1:32 scale will be 32 times smaller than the actual aircraft. For example, If the plane is 10 m long, the model will measure 13 inches / 31.25 cm long (1000/32 = 31.25). The figures are in the 1:32 scale are about 2 inches / 5.5 cm high.
